What is intrauterine insemination (IUI)?

Pregnancy is possible with IUI, which is a relatively light procedure.
This is a subfertility treatment which attempts pregnancy by injecting a husband’s semen
which has been specially treated into the patient’s uterine cavity through a thin tube during the ovulation period.

First Stage of Artificial Pregnancy

When a woman is subfertile, her husband’s semen is collected and treated using a special culture solution to sort out good sperm. They are then injected into the woman’s uterus through a thin tube.
This IUI is the first stage of artificial pregnancy.

It is performed in the natural ovulation cycle, and when the patient’s ovulation is irregular, an ovulation-inducing agent is taken to execute it.
Also, superovulation intrauterine insemination, which ovulates many ova by using superovulation injections 2~3 days before menstruation, is performed.

Usually, IUI is performed three to four times.
